1.
In those times of recklessness Nights of peril were all that we knew Days of unrest giving way to The violence of the dark Fire in our blood Flames on the streets Twelve hours of risk for gruesome reward Victims sacrificed to midnight's strike Poisoned by hubris and charged by drink Sharp wits and sharper blades Fire in our blood Flames on the streets Apex predator on concrete plains Thirst for cranial rearrangement A last regret choked by silencing trauma On to the next unwitting unwilling A prayer may have helped if God could hear But it's only music to assailant's ears A seemingly unending death rattle The everflowing sadist's stream Cyclical brutality renewed each hour Ready the arsenal for another round Pouncing at opportune chance Welcome the soon-to-be-carrion A reddening sky greets a crimson pool Damned reflection of odious youth Slink into remnants of the night's shadows To prey another day No escape for them or us Perpetual anguish If their agony is unceasing Then so is ours
2.
Drugborne confusion Vicebound Capture of a capture Visible violence Subjugation Tangible terror Cries for liberation Met with laceration A deviant's snare Lascivious lair Implements of pain in a scream-proofed cell Crafted with care and precision Archive of agony perversely preserved After vanishing the victim Senses deprived Yet kept alive Cruel compassion Hypnotraumatic Suffering Torture clandestine Unbreakable chains Resistance in vain Brutish behavior No hope of a savior Caught in the clutches of the worst of all men Escape from this hell is unfathomable The need for a new plaything draws near The current toy must be disposed of A corpse never collected, a body never found The hunter has covered his tracks Any hope of justice disappeared Gone with the undiscovered taken
3.
Traitor's tongue Casts this pox Intolerable Repudiate All against us Et tu, Brute? Amputation of gangrenous limb Cauterize the tainted flesh Judas cancer metastasizing Malignant "allies" betray Adversarial tumor sliced From the host defiant Chemocastrate the opposer Cut them out Aggression against this ailment Must be unrelenting Befouling this defector, this disease Carcinocombat I'll not receive this communion This sacrament of blight An unending siege against illness Multi-pronged assault Malady Removal Benighted Kinship Offering Rejected Banishment For all Removal of affliction We cast aside the scourge of plague Infestation excision This form remains uncorrupted Et tu, Brute?
4.
Transfixed by enchantress dear, siren song All-inclusive temple of lust, ecstatic Progeny of Tantalus, the captive Tangible yet achingly out-of-reach Paralyzing grips, delusion Unattainable and fruitless, va(i)nity Barren sensual yearning, barrier The futility of your tithe, unavailing This carnal beckoning precedes all other needs Self-eradication awakened through onanism Unknown in the eye of the goddess Unacknowledged by the worshipped Blinded by internal perception Of monotheistic reverence Planting the seed that withers from blight Sexual malnourishment Failure of magic(k) to manifest Action from will Each dusk begins derelict liturgy Promethean curse An unwanted sacrifice presented The act is all for naught Onanslavement A scabbed and blistered scepter Prompts ceremonial completion Yet the soul still begs to exalt The regal unattained Paralyzing grips, delusion Unattainable and fruitless, va(i)nity Barren sensual yearning, barrier The futility of your tithe, unavailing
